The only theoretical difference is the price difference between Waywatchers and Treemen, but in practice in the campaign, the difference isn't actually enough to be able to afford more armies of Waywatchers than Treemen, all while the treemen have much much better potential in battles. But they aren't the one you should go for if you are being optimal, which these tier lists are about. There is literally no situation where a Waywatcher stack is better than a Treeman stack or a Hawk Rider in a the Heralds. Problem here is that we have a faction that offers viable variety and viable diversity You still go for the best one for each faction. My point being, the Glade lord power spike he/she can achieve through a trait is completely insane. You get a Princess with a proper trait for the Sisters and she'll make some difference for sure.īut you'll put a cheesed out Glade lord with Talon of Kurnos in the Waywatcher stack, and Princess or no Princess the Waywatchers gonna erase the Sisters stack like nothing. You put stack of Sisters against stack of Waywatchers and its gonna be a somewhat even fight. That kinda makes sense, but at the same time it makes a disservice to the point you are trying to make. Where as the optimal doomstack for HE are Sisters of Averlorn Problem here is that we have a faction that offers viable variety and viable diversity, with a very few drawbacks nonetheless, but because Legend uttered the word Treemen this community has nothing but a dismissal for that ever since.
